Malay Heritage Centre launches new Kampong Glam trail

SINGAPORE: A special trail allowing visitors a brief glimpse into Singapore`s past has been launched by the Malay Heritage Centre on Saturday.

The Kampong Glam trail, set amidst the modern city that Singapore is, takes viewers on an enlightening journey through the small pockets of heritage that still remain.

Kampong Glam, the historic seat of Malay royalty in Singapore, contains key landmarks such as the Sultan Mosque, the Kwan Imm Thing Hood Cho temple, the Sri Krishna temple and St Joseph`s Catholic Church.

Such interesting nodes can be discovered on the historical tours led by specially trained guides at a cost of between $15 and $38, with concessions for students.
