Bandar Seri Begawan - Yesterday saw the conclusion of the Youth Tedarus Al-Quran Programme for the month of Ramadhan with the closing ceremony held at the official residence of the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, "Rumah Musfirah".
Attending as the guest of honour was Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Dewa Major General (R) Dato Seri Pahlawan Hj Awg Mohammad Bin Hj Daud.
He along with a number of senior officials and government personnel started off the ceremony with a reading of the Al-Fatiha followed by a reading of the Takhtim Al-Quran.
This was followed by a Tahlil and a doa kesyukuran before they took time to break their fast and perform the Maghrib prayers. The Youth Tedarus Al-Quran Programme started on September 17, 2007 with an official opening ceremony at the Youth Development Centre.
The programme was conducted in all districts, starting in Belait at Pekan Seria Mosque, followed by Brunei-Muara at Sufri Bolkiah Mosque, in Tutong at Kg Sungai Kelugos Mosque and finally in Temburong at Kampung Belais Mosque.
