Makassar - Vice President Jusuf Kalla`s private residence on Haji Bau Street in South Sulawesi`s provincial capital of Makassar was packed with thousands of people on Monday as he held an Idul Fitri open house for the public.
Starting at 10 a.m. local time, people from South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi provinces had an opportunityto meet the vice president and his family at their home.
"How are you, is everything OK?", the vice president said when greeting the visitors one by one.
South Sulawesi Deputy Governor Syahrul Yasin Limpo, Makassar Mayor Ilham Sirajudin, Provincial Legislative Assembly chairman Arifin Nurman and other officials were also seen mingling with the crowd of people from different backgrounds. (***)
