Asean Book Publishers Association Arrives For Fair At ICC

Bandar Seri Begawan - Delegates of Asean Book Publishers Association (ABPA) arrived in the Sultanate yesterday afternoon for the Brunei Book Fair 2008, which will also have a series of activities and exhibitions from various member nations in a bid to promote the region‘s books and the publishing industry.

ABPA will have its own pavilion at the fair, which will be held from today until March 7 at the ICC in Berakas, with the latest publications from member nations that include Brunei, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam and Laos.

ABPA will also to host a forum entitled "Enhancing Better Business Profitability among Asean Publishers through E-Marketing" today from 2pm_at the ICC‘s Bilateral Room.

A special talk on "Google Book Search" by Mr Eric Hartmann - a Strategic Partner Development Manager in the Content Association Group at Google - will also be held at the same venue today from 3.45pm onwards. Both events are free for the public to attend. In addition, ABPA is expected to hold an Executive Committee Meeting this evening, as well as a farewell dinner tonight before the departure of delegates tomorrow morning.

Organiser DBP also invites students from various schools in the country to visit the fair, where they can enjoy discounts and take part in contests offering some attractive prizes.
