Tutong - In commemoration of Prophet Muhammad‘s (pbuh) birthday celebrations, the National Committee for the celebration last night went to the Kg Bukit Panggal Mosque in the Tutong District to participate in the nightly Dikir Maulud that is being held nationwide. Present was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Abdul Rahman bin Hj Mohiddin, and Deputy Permanent Secretary Dato PadukaAwg Hj Ishaaq bin Hj Abdullah.
The event began with a mass magrhib prayer followed by the dikir recital.
Also attending the event were senior officials from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and village residents.
A Maulud procession will be held on March 20 at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar Ali Saifuddien in the capital.
