Indonesian jewelries exhibited in Dubai

Jakarta - Indonesia held a jewelry exhibition in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Sunday (March 30), according to a press release from the Indonesian consulate general in Dubai on Monday.

The jewelry exhibition was organized by Mutumanikam Nusantara, a non-profit organization founded by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono.

"Mutumanikam Nusantara is trying to promote Indonesian small- and medium-scale jewelry businesses internationally," Herawatie Wirajuda, coordinator of the Mutumanikam Nusantara executive committee, said in the press statement.

Faisal Harun, Indonesian consul general in Dubai, supported and hailed the holding of the xhibition which was attended by a number of businessmen, buyers, foreign diplomats and expatriates in Dubai.

Mutumanikam Nusantara is also to participate in the Islamic Fashion Festival and Motexha Trade Expo.

Motexha 2008, the Middle East‘s largest garment, textile, leather and fashion accessories exhibition, is taking place from March 31 to April 2 at the Dubai International Exhibition Center, UAE.

The 3-day event serves as a networking base for major international manufacturers, suppliers and government trade delegations to meet with buyers, retailers, decision makers, dealers and distributors from across the region.
