BDARA to attend 5th All Borneo Amateur Radio Festival in Indonesia

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Darussalam Amateur Radio Association (BDARA) has been invited by the Amateur Radio Organisation of Indonesia (ORARI) to attend the 5th All Borneo Amateur Radio Festival in Western Kalimantan.

The festival that is scheduled to commence on July 25, represents an activity that is held once every two years, with ORARI being designated as the officiating body.

The festival aims at bringing together all the amateur radio associations from around the region and at the same time celebrating the ORARI‘s 40th anniversary.

The organisers have arranged several activities that include Eye Ball QSO, Walking Fox Hunting, Trouble Shooting, Merkit Pemancar, ARDF Slalom Test, Asah Trampil Amatir Radio (ATARI), Logging Contest, Emergency Set up and Morse Code.

Prizes such as trophies and cash will be given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Also, a "HF Special Call" will be set up with YB40AR, in addition to an exhibition.

BDARA stated in a press release that they will be attending the festival and participating in the activities arranged in the festival. The BDARA will be departing Brunei on the 23rd and will be back on the 28th. By Ben Ng
