A line from Dayak philosophy

Palangkaraya - Walk through the front gate of state elementary school SDN 4 Menteng in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan. To your right you notice a boat-shaped blue relief and a pair of oars with yellow wording in a local Dayak language. More than 200 tribes come under the common name "Dayak" in the interior of Kalimantan.

The relief reads: "Ayo hapakat mambesei rangkan hapa katagas kahian atei sarene bahurui tiruk itung." (Let‘s row together in shared spirit to reach our destination).

It is a positive call to motivate everyone in meeting their obligations to secure their basic rights, Dinae A. Angin, the school principal, explains.
