Klang - The Sultan Abdul Aziz Royal Gallery here, whose exhibits include the personal collections of the late Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah, will be promoted locally and overseas.
Tourism Minister Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said said she had asked officers from the ministry to update tourism products in Malaysia and Selangor and to include the gallery in the list.
She suggested that the gallery be included in tour packages and also as a destination for school trips to provide students with better understanding on the Selangor Sultanate.
"The gallery cannot stand on its own. For a successful promotional strategy, it has to be linkd with other products.
"This can be done by including the gallery in a heritage trail package involving visits to the various historical sites and places in Selangor," she said after a visit to the gallery Thursday.
