Bandar Seri Begawan - The lstana Nurul Iman in the capital received thousands of people after it was opened for the tedarus yesterday.
People came as early as 6pm to ensure that they can get parking space before lining up to enter the palace at 7.30pm when its gates were opened.
However, members of the public are advised to obey certain rules. Only male visitors above the age of 12 are allowed and identification cards must be presented.
Items like firecrackers, matches, canned drinks and cigarettes are prohibited inside the palace.
Appropriate attire - such as the Cara Melayu and Songkok - is another obligation.
The tedarus at the Istana Nurul Iman is a religious activity held throughout the holy month of Ramadhan. By H Bat
