Bandar Seri Begawan - The Civil Service Institute will be organising a management guidance programme based on the teachings of the Holy Quran for its staff and personnel.
The programme, the first of its kind by the institute, will be held at the institute‘s headquarters in Rimba.
The programme will consist of a series of talks, starting September 22 until October 6.
The talks will be given by invited speakers from the Islamic Da‘wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Two representatives from each department and section of the institute are required to attend.
The programme is one of the efforts by the Civil Service Institute to realise and support the government‘s goal. in highlighting the supremacy of the Holy Quran and to incorporate it into the administration systems and the daily operations of civil service.
This incorporation had been stated in a titah by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, during the Nuzul Al-Quran celebration on February 28, 1994.
In the titah, His Majesty urged all government agencies to carry out any teachings in the Holy Quran that are applicable to the running of the nation‘s administration.
Another purpose of the programme is to take advantage of the month of Ramadhan Al-Mubarak, as well as to raise reading culture and enhance understanding of the Holy Quran and to learn from it.
