Bandar Seri Begawan - The Brunei Museums Department yesterday held an appreciation lunch and a certificate presentation ceremony at Nurizna Restaurant in Gadong.
Guests arrived early for the function, which started around loam. Present as the event‘s guest of honour was the department‘s Acting Deputy Director Pg Dr Karim Pg Hj Osman.
It was organised for the people who helped prepare for the International Museum Day last May 18, as well as those who took part in the Natural History Gallery of Brunei Museums, including choir members and students from PDS, Berakas Secondary School and SOAS College.
Held annually, the theme for this year‘s celebration was "Museums and Universal Heritage". International Museum Day has been celebrated worldwide since 1977.
It provides an opportunity for museum professionals to meet members of the public and inform them of various developments and challenges.
