Bandar Seri Begawan - Members of the Federation of Brunei Malay Entrepreneurs recently organised a religious gathering in Kg Serusop to show members‘ appreciation towards the rule of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam who celebrated the 40" anniversary of accession to the throne on Oct 5.
The thanksgiving prayer or doa kesyukuran was read by Hj Junaidi Hj Abdullah, a former Imam of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The former Imam also led the members in a tahlil ceremony before they broke their fast together.
Earlier on, the federation organised the first executive committee meeting for office bearers of 2007 to 2012 in which they approved the nomination of various posts.

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Religious Affairs organised a thanks-giving ceremony and doa selamat at the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque in Kg Jerudong yesterday.
The ceremony, which was attended by more than 1,000 officials and staff of the ministry, was to celebrate the 401 anniversary of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam‘s accession to the throne.
Attending as the guest of honour of the ceremony was Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Othman, Acting Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Also in attendance were Dato Paduka Hj Awang Abd Rahman Hj Mohiddin, Permanent Secretary, Dato Paduka Hj Awang Ishaaq Hj Abdullah, Deputy Permanent Secre-tary, directors, deputy directors, senior officers, officials and staff of the ministry.
The ceremony started with the recital of the al-Fatihah, led by Pehin Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awang Badaruddin, while the reading of the Takhtim and Doa Khatam was led by Hj Awang Sahri Hj Sulaiman.
Ak Mohd Noh Pg Hj Mohd. Sabri, Imam at the Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam Mosque led the Hajat Prayers. A Doa Selamat Kesyukuran, led by Hj Awang Jamil Hj Abdul Ghani, followed suit.
The ceremony was held as a show of gratitude for His Majesty‘s four decades of harmonious rule, leading to the country with various progress and development.
