Hanoi – Under the sponsorship of Petronas, a Malaysian art exhibition entitled “Transformation” will open at the Viet Art Centre, 42 Yet Kieu, Hanoi on September 3.
This one-month exhibition promises to bring a new look about Malaysian art since the mid-20th century. The exhibition will be brought to Manila (Philippines), Jakarta (Indonesia), Singapore, Bangkok (Thailand) and finally Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) in 2010.
“Transformation” will introduce artworks from the Malaysian Art Collection about Malaysia`s contemporary society and its relations with ASEAN countries.
During the exhibition, there will be two presentations about Malaysia`s art history, the value and the role of Malaysian art in the country`s relationships with other ASEAN member countries. The two presentations will be presented at the Viet Art Centre on September 4 and 30.
The event is hoped to contribute to strengthen cultural exchange between Vietnam and Malaysia. The exhibition will open from 9am to 5pm everyday.
