Kuala Lumpur - The Malaysia-Indonesia Eminent Persons Group (EPG) will meet for the fourth time from Monday.
The South East Asia Division of the Freign Ministry said in a statement Sunday that Malaysia EPG Chairman Tun Musa Hitam will convene the two-day meeting at Cyberview Lodge Resort in Cyberjaya.
Indonesia EPG Chairman Tan Sri Try Sutrisno will lead the Indonesian delegation.
During the meeting, the Malaysia-Indonesia EPG will finalise its joint report which contains recommendations on bilateral enhancing activities and programmes as well as proposals on the future direction of bilateral relations.
The report is expected to be presented to the leaders of both countries early next year, the division said.
The Malaysia-Indonesia EPG has been mandated by the leaders of the two countries to fodge and enhance mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation between Malaysia and Indonesia.
The EPG mechanism also bears testimony to the commitment of both sides towards ensuring harmonious relations in the years ahead and in harnessing the existing complementaries with the view to forge greater strategic depth in bilateral relations.
