Bandar Seri Begawan – The Islamic Da‘wah Centre has allocated a total of $23,800 as well as food and beverages for mosques, surau prayer halls and religious bodies for converts in the country to carry out religious activities during the fasting month of Ramadhan.
The financial assistance was given to Kampong Benutan Mosque and Kampong Takalit‘s village head in Tutong District; Balai Ibadat of Kampong Melilas, Kampong Sukang Belait and Kampong Merangking in the Belait District; Pos Da‘wah Kampong Selapon, Kampong Sibut Kampong Semabat in Temburong.
Meanwhile, the food and drinks were provided to Persatuan Nurul Islam and Rumah Kegiatan Ugama Kampong Bebuloh in the Brunei-Muara District; Dewan Pesatu Tutong, Badan Kebajikan Baskim Tutong, and prayer halls of Kampong Bukit TutongHajah Aminah of Kampong Long Mayan in Tugong and Bilik Ibadat Lorong Tiga Selatan and al-Mashor Mosque in the Belai District.
On hand to present the contribution was the Acting Director of Islamic Da‘wah Centre, Hjh Hasnah Hj Omar.
The centre‘s Conversion and Guidance Conservation Section is also planning to visit these places to perform the tadarus, Sunat Terawih and Witi prayers with the residents.
The programme is aimed for converts to appreciate Ramadhan and the special benefits or fadhilat the fasting month has.
It is also meant to ensure the smooth running of da‘wah or propagation works of the centre.
A team from Islamic Da‘wah Centre would visit the planned venues within this month and October.
Present as the honoured guest at the handing over ceremony was Hjh Hasnah Hj Omar, the Acting Director of Islamic Da‘wah Centre.
The ceremony was held at the Islamic Da‘wah Centre, in Kampong Pulaie on Tuesday.
