State Mufti Attends Meet To Strengthen Institution Fatwa

Bandar Seri Begawan - The move in stabilising World Fatwa Management And Research Institute (Infad) direction and planning as a universal management and research institution will be among the issue that will be discussed at the advisory council meetings of Infad to he held in Putrajaya, Malaysia.

The institute is under an advisory body, the Infad Advisory Council. The meeting, the second of its kind, are attended by local and international Infad advisory panels made up of prominent scholars from Brunei, China, Jakarta, Sudan and Malaysia.

Brunei is represented by the State Mufti Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr Ustaz Hj Abdul Aziz Juned, who left the country yesterday for Kuala Lumpur.

The institute offers expertise and professional input to the society, government and nongovernmental agencies as well as other interested parties as to stabilise the function and governance of fatwa institution.

Infad is also crucial in forming "Smart Sharing" and intellectual dialogue with distinguished academicians and related parties locally or abroad in order to bring about common understanding and to further establish the fatwa institution.
