President Mentions “Eat, Pray, and Love” Film to Promote Bali

Jimbaran, Bali - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono mentioned Julia Roberts` film "East, Pray and Love" to promote Bali Island to participants of the 2010 Global Policy Forum being here Monday.

Bali was a few months ago the location of part of the scenario of the film "Eat, Pray, and Love" starring Julia Roberts, the head of state said in his address opening the Forum.

The film told the story of a woman who, after a long search, finally found her love and peace in this beautiful island, he said.

"Of course, I know you are only staying here for a few days, but I do hope that you will come back to Indonesia with your family where you can `eat, pray, and love` all you want," Yudhoyono told the audience.

The 2010 Global Policy Forum of the Alliance of Financial Inclusion (AFI) was a follow up of discussions on financial inclusion initiated by the G-20.

The 2009 AFI Global Policy Forum was organized in Nairobi, Kenya.

"Recently the G-20 has made a commitment to address development issues. This will be discussed in the G-20 Summit in November in Korea," the head of state said.

Among those attending the opening ceremony of the Forum were First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Bank Indonesia Governor Darmin Nasution, AFI Director Alfred Hanning, as well as Kenya Central Bank Governor Njuguna Ndung in his capacity as chairman of AFI Steering Committee.

Indonesian ministers who were present in the event were among others Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, and Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu. (Uu.F001/HAJM/P003)
